Terms and Conditions
The terms for using ISO 20022 Navigator and its free tools: the camt, pain and MT940 viewers, the MT940 to camt.053 converter, the REST API and the MCP server.
Last updated October 29, 2026
1. Disclaimer of Liability
ISO 20022 Navigator (“the Service”), including its viewers, its converter, its REST API and its MCP server, is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. The owner of this website expressly disclaims all liability for how users choose to use this Service.
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for your use of the Service and any decisions made based on the analysis or information provided. The owner does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any data or information provided through the Service, including parsed values, validation results, code explanations and converted files.
2. No Professional Advice
The information provided by the Service is for general informational purposes only and should not be construed as professional financial, banking, or legal advice. Users should consult with qualified professionals before making any financial, banking, or business decisions based on information obtained from the Service.
A file that passes the Service’s checks can still be rejected by a bank, a payment scheme or a clearing system, which may apply rules of their own, and a file the Service flags may still be accepted. Check a converted file before you rely on it. Your bank’s implementation guidelines and the official ISO 20022 and SWIFT documentation take precedence over anything the Service shows.
3. Security and Privacy
The viewers and the converter process files locally in your browser. The files you open in them are not transmitted to our servers. However, the owner does not accept any responsibility for any loss, disruption, or damage to your data or computer system that may occur while using the Service.
The Service is hosted on Cloudflare. Its servers deliver the pages and keep anonymous usage counters (for example, how many times a page was viewed). The REST API and the MCP server receive the file text you send them, process it in memory and do not store or log it. Donations are processed by Stripe: your payment details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. The privacy page describes exactly what is collected.
4. API and MCP Fair Use
The REST API and the MCP server are free and need no account or key. Requests are limited per client (currently 60 a minute, shared by both) and in size; requests over a limit are refused. Do not try to get around the limits, to overload or disrupt the Service, or to send content you are not entitled to process. The owner may change the API, the MCP server or their limits, or withdraw them, at any time and without notice, and does not guarantee that they are available.
5. No Affiliation
ISO 20022 Navigator is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), SWIFT, any bank, or any payment scheme or market infrastructure. Names such as ISO 20022, SWIFT, SEPA and Fedwire belong to their owners and are used only to describe the formats the Service reads.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the owner, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, that result from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the owner assumes no liability or responsibility for any:
- Errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in content, validation results or converted files;
- Payments rejected, delayed, or made in error after using the Service;
- Personal injury or property damage resulting from your access to or use of the Service;
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein;
- Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service;
- Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through the Service;
- Any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the Service.
7. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the owner, its officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees) arising from your use of the Service.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
By using this Service, you acknowledge that you have read these Terms and Conditions, understand them, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
